Where the heck are they registered?

So there's the whole Wedding Gift Registry thing that you might be looking for.
Well folks... there isn't one for a few reasons.

#1 - We have a house full of stuff already
#2 - For those of you attending from out of town... it's already a big expense with airfare, hotel, time off from work/school, etc... your presence there is a HUGE gift to us. Really... it is!

We also realize that making the trek to Kansas City for a wedding is not feasible for many of you who don't live in KS... thank you for your kind words of encouragement on the response postcards... we love you!

In fact, once we get settled into our home we want you to invite yourself to have dinner with us. Andrew will fire up the grill and pretend he knows what he's doing... Kay Cee will amaze you with her vast knowledge of music lyrics to just about every country music song out there (seriously)... and Connor will give out free hugs and ask you what games you have on your iPhone. We'll sit out on the patio with the heat lamp on and those hipster lights dangling precariously along the rain gutters. Stories will be told and laughter is mandatory.

THAT would be a wonderful gift to us.

Things I think about...

Do postal workers get annoyed with having to pick up stacks of wedding invitations and then delivering the corresponding RSVP postcards?

I think I got an 'Amen' from Newman.

High-five to those who got that last joke.

The RSVP postcards are trickling in each day. Thanks for sending those in so quickly!

Room Block Code at the Hilton President, Kansas City

It's on the invitation, but you should be able to access a discounted rate for the Hilton President hotel if you use the Group Code: MHW15

The rate is $149 per night

It's a nice hotel (supposedly the only 4 Star hotel in Kansas City), but feel free to book anywhere else! The room block at the Hilton is available through October 7th.

Here we go!!!

Invitations were dropped in the mail today!

The house is a mess right now from the aftermath of putting all the inserts, stamps, maps and labels together - and my mouth tastes horrible after licking all those envelopes. Remember that Seinfeld episode where Susan died from licking all those wedding invitations that George bought? I think that just happened...

Hoping that there was enough quality control in each of those envelopes... fingers crossed. But "hypothetically" speaking, if your name is Barbre or Maultsby there may or may not be a response postcard in the envelope. Uhh... so sorry!
